A Word from the Director

My husband (we’ve been married 60 years) fell and broke his shoulder January 3. January 13 he fell again and this time broke two vertebrae in his back. Since then, an ambulance brought him to the ER four times, and he was been hospitalized three times for a total of eighteen days.
Before his second fall on January 13 I felt Father leading me to cancel the in-person Colorado conference. I’m so grateful I listened, for God’s healing power, and all the prayers and financial help.
Three months of full-time caregiving has put me way behind on conference planning, but going virtual makes it possible to get things done later than with an in-person conference.
May 18 update – we now have 36 agents, editors, authors, and other professionals on faculty. I'm waiting to hear from several dozen others and anticipate we will again have around 60 on faculty.
Six of the nine continuing sessions are planned and five of the seven keynotes. We will begin posting specifics to https://colorado.writehisanswer.com this coming week.
This is our fifth time going virtual. We've got the technical expertise and equipment to provide an amazingly interactive virtual conference with NO pre-records.The team in our virtual studio will monitor over 20 computers to make everything LIVE. With small group breakouts, critique groups, round table Q & A's, panels, appointments with up to FOUR agents and editors, 60 workshops, 9 continuing sessions, and 9 labs our virtual conference offers even MORE than our in-person conference for a fraction of the cost.
We’re excited about again going virtual and how this makes it possible for us to equip more Christians to “write about our God who is real, who is reachable, and who changes lives.” Last year we had conferees from 33 states and 5 countries!

I started my Christian writing career at the Colorado Christian Writers Conference in 1987, and I have been attending ever since — both as a conferee in the early years and then as a faculty member. I have learned so much and seen God open doors one after the other. As faculty, I am honored to give back to the conference that has given so much to me. Now more than ever, we need to write His answer!
