Write and Live His Answer Now

Encouragement to Impact Our Culture

by Marlene Bagnull

Our culture has “become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity” (Rom.

1:29 niv). How long, oh Lord? How long before Your judgment falls on the United States of America? Surely, You cannot ignore our sin much longer. Or will You stand by silently and watch our nation self-destruct?

But this is not a doom and gloom book. Rather, it is a call to action. God is raising an army of believers to reach the lost—to write and to live His answer. Will you enlist?

In this must-read book, Marlene Bagnull and over twenty-five contributors address cultural issues with biblical truth and with love, not condemnation. Write and Live His Answer NOW will encourage you to share the life-changing power of the gospel without becoming part of the angry political rhetoric that is dividing our nation.

Biblical Guidelines for Addressing Controversial Issues

Now Is the Time

Now is the time
to say yes to God’s call,
the time to seek Him
and His will,
the time to prioritize
what’s really important
and put Him first.

Now is the time

to discern
what slows us down
and trips us up,
to confess our sins
to Him and each other,
and to cast aside our doubts.

Now is the time
to fix our eyes on Jesus
and to run with perseverance
the race set before us,
to proclaim the Good News
 to the lost—now
while there is still time.

Introduction
A Growing Sense of Urgency

Don’t be afraid, for I am with you.
Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you.
I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.

Isaiah 41:10 NLT

During my seventy-eight years, I’ve seen a lot of changes—some amazing, others deeply disturbing.

Man has walked on the moon, but we have not learned to walk with one another in peace.

The twelve-inch black-and-white TV of my childhood is now a huge flat screen that brings the horror of the war in Ukraine into my living room in full color. When will it end? Or will Putin go nuclear and end it for us all?

Our doors are now locked at night, but locked doors cannot protect us from the evil that invades our homes through multiple devices that access the Internet.

Mobile phones and artificial intelligence have replaced rotary phones and operators. Even young children become connected and addicted. They spend more time looking at a screen than playing outdoors. Their “friends” bully and shame them. People who pretend to be friends lure them into deadly relationships.

Marriage is no longer a lifetime commitment between a man and a woman as God intended, and sex outside of marriage is no longer frowned on, even by some Christians.

People who identify as LGBTQ+ are now celebrated and their “rights” receive priority in our courts of law. The courts prosecute parents who try to get counseling for their children who claim they are of the opposite gender. Tomboys are encouraged to believe they really are boys, and they’re told they have a “right” to hormone-changing drugs and body-altering surgeries. But tragically, we are labeled as “haters” when we forget that we too are sinners in need of God’s grace, mercy, and forgiveness.

The lives of the unborn and our aged are no longer valued.

How long, Lord? How long before Your judgment falls on the United States of America? Surely, You cannot ignore our sin much longer. Or will You stand by silently and watch our nation self-destruct?

This is not a doom and gloom book. Rather, it is a call to action. “For the Lord our God, the Almighty, reigns” (Rev. 19:6 NLT). “He isn’t really being slow about his promised return, even though it sometimes seems that way. But he is waiting, for the good reason that he is not willing that any should perish, and he is giving more time for sinners to repent” (2 Pet. 3:9 TLB). He is raising an army of believers to reach the lost—to write and to live His answer. Will you enlist?

Take Action

Don’t be afraid, for I am with you.
Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you.
I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.
